Ideas

So far my beat ideas have all been pretty general. Living in Pullman, the majority of my time and knowledge comes from living on campus. I feel like Pullman is majorly centered around WSU and my best bet would be to write about stories that directly affect the students here. One idea I had involved covering the crime and police involvement around the area. This includes the number of traffic violations and MIPs. Although, I'm not sure if this is considered a conflict of interest since my father is a police officer. Another possible focus is health care. Not only the concern over health insurance but also the services provided here on campus. Also, enviornmental concerns and the different things that are being done to improve how concsious we are about our global situation. Overall, my ideas try to incorporate the students and the community here in Pullman. Yet, it's hard to really find something I feel I can write on over the semester.
